PROTECTIVE BEHAVIOURS FOR PARENTS

PROTECTIVE BEHAVIOURS (PB) FOR PARENTS

Parents are the first educators.  Every family brings with them unique strengths. When we work together (school, family and community), we can achieve so much more.
The Parent workshop covers all aspects of the programme, with a focus on teaching the language and strategies of PB to their own children.  The accompanying free Parent Handbook provides guidance to parents and include activities and exercises to help reinforce the newly learnt skills and behaviours.
This workshop further provides useful information for parents on the following:

  • The facts about child abuse and child sexual abuse
  • What to do when your child discloses abuse to you
  • Cyber safety and social media
  • The dangers of pornography
  • Useful phone numbers and websites

The parent workshops are tailored to the needs of families in relation to the ages and developmental levels of their children.
